Former Greens candidate Hannah Thomas, who was injured during an arrest at a pro-Palestinian rally, has been awarded legal costs to the tune of nearly $22,000 after all of her charges were dropped.
Ms Thomas was among a group gathered outside manufacturing facility SEC Plating at Belmore in June, alleging the company supplies components used in the manufacture of F-35 jets — the class of jets flown by the Israel Defense Forces.
SEC Plating denies those allegations.
She sustained a serious injury to her eye during her arrest and alleges she was punched by an officer after police attempted to move the group on from what they considered an unauthorised protest.
But all charges against Ms Thomas were withdrawn last week and the cases against three other members of the group — Zachary Schof
