A man was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Sacramento on Wednesday night, according to police.

The Sacramento Police Department said the crash happened just before 8 p.m. near Marysville and Los Robles boulevards. The vehicle that hit the pedestrian fled the scene, police said.

The man who was hit is in critical condition.

Marysville Boulevard is closed form Rosalind Street to Los Robles Boulevard while investigators inspect the crash scene.
