Nearly two months after Montray Allen was shot and killed outside an apartment complex near North Avenue, his family is pleading with the community to speak with police to help solve the case.

Allen's family described him as a loving, outgoing father, son, and a father figure to his younger siblings.

"He was like my dad. Like he played the dad role. Like, when I was wrong, he would tell me when I'm wrong, but when I'm right, he'll make sure I know that I'm right. Even if I think I'm wrong," said his sister Taujanae Beaver.

Allen was also part of the Voice of the Youth as a teen.
