COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus woman is being held in jail after she reportedly threw her 9-month-old child across a room, critically injuring the infant.

Franklin County Municipal Court records show Billie Tustin, 30, is charged with felonious assault. Jail records show Tustin currently is being held without bond and homicide detectives are investigating the incident.

The Columbus Dispatch reports the baby was injured on Wednesday. Medics were called to a home on the city’s North Side and found the baby boy unresponsive, authorities tell The Dispatch.

The baby was taken to a hospital in critical condition and currently is on life-support, WBNS Channel 10 reports . The baby has multiple traumatic injuries, WBNS reports.
