Patchy fog again this morning in spots with the high humidity and warmer temperatures. Another day of nearly 90-degree highs with plenty of sunshine, can’t rule out a stray shower along the sea breeze convergence and heat of the day.

Winds out of the northeast will be setting up for a local, dry nor’easter along the coastline as breezy conditions increase throughout the day into the weekend. A moderate rip current risk is expected on Friday and will likely increase to high risk for the last weekend of summer. Rain chances increase on Saturday, as the onshore flow contributes to isolated showers.

Fun fact: Gainesville tied a record low on Thursday of 58 degrees!

The first day of fall is Monday at 2:19 p.m.
