The undefeated Cardinal O’Hara Lions (4-0) will put their stingy defense to the test as they welcome the Smyrna Eagles (1-1) to Lions Stadium for an interstate matchup on Friday night.
The Lions defense has been nearly impenetrable, surrendering just 34 points through four games. Cardinal O’Hara blanked Upper Darby 19-0 last week, led by junior quarterback Demarcus Cain and sophomore receiver Emilio Martinez.
Smyrna defeated Frederick (Maryland) 40-24 a week ago. Junior quarterback Drew Marks powered the Eagles’ aerial attack with 310 passing yards, including a touchdown connection with senior Phoenix Henriquez, who finished with eight receptions for 113 yards.
The Eagles suffered a 49-46 loss at Coatesville in their season opener.
Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Friday
