Cooperating Suspect Released Pending Further Investigation

Days after a pre-dawn brawl in West Hollywood, a 20-year-old woman stabbed during the melee has died, her family said. She has been identified by authorities as Maritza Gonzalez Solis.

The fight erupted between 3:00 and 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, near San Vicente and Robertson boulevards, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Investigators estimate 20 to 30 people were involved. What caused the confrontation, initially described as a dispute between two women, remains under review.
