A motoring expert says a number of pieces of car technology are set to be banned - including dashboard touchscreens. New environmental targets, safety regulations, and technological standards are reshaping the industry, and several car features we take for granted today might not make it to 2030, according to William Fletcher, CEO of Car.co.uk .
Fletcher said: “The next six years will bring some of the most dramatic changes we've ever seen in motoring. Between climate commitments, safety improvements, and new technology regulations, several features that drivers consider normal today could become illegal tomorrow.”
