A holidaymaker has died during an EasyJet flight to the Canary Islands after a medical emergency.
The emergency struck on board the aircraft on its way from Nantes, France, to the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands.
The routine flight had gone to plan until the Airbus jet began approaching the Lanzarote airport on Tuesday.
The captain reportedly issued an alert after the medical emergency began, according to Le Parisien. After triggering the distress signal, the pilots performed ‘a routine landing in accordance with standard procedures.’
The passenger’s cause of death is unknown, and no further details have been released about the victim.
EasyJet told the outlet: ‘Our crews are trained to respond to medical issues and did everything possible during the flight.’
It said: ‘Our thought
