Recently, in a Times-Call article, a former opponent of mine in the Ward 2 Longmont City Council race described my platform as “conservative.” It’s an epithet that some pro-development advocates have labeled me with since I announced my candidacy, before I’d even issued any policy positions. I’m writing now to clarify.

Ward 2 is a progressive Ward that supports progressive candidates, but many of us feel that our concerns are not being heard or represented, as do some of our unaffiliated and conservative neighbors. So, before I settled on any policy positions, I spent time listening deeply to my Ward 2 neighbors. My positions directly reflect those opinions.
