The Linwood House in Valparaiso was designed by an architect who also designed many Lutheran churches across the Midwest, including the iconic Valparaiso University Chapel of the Resurrection that's often heralded as a symbol of the campus.
Indiana Landmarks, the statewide preservation group, took over the mid-century modern home on the VU campus and has been extensively renovating it. It is serving as the new Northwest Field Office and will also likely be rented out to other tenants. Northwest Field Office Director Blake Swihart said the goal was to make it a beacon for Valparaiso.
"The plan is to safeguard it and make it a beacon for Valpo and Northwest Indiana," Swihart said. "It should be preserved as part of our history."
Indiana Landmarks is relocating its Northwes
