EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Four people have been arrested after authorities say they seized a large amount of chemicals and more than 27 pounds of synthetic cannabinoid chemicals in Evansville.

In June, local and federal authorities say they began investigating a group of drug traffickers in the area.

As a result of a months-long investigation, authorities obtained search warrants for addresses on North Rotherwood Avenue and South Fares Avenue on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, investigators began surveillance at the homes. They say that's when they saw Frank Jackson and Davina Johnson leaving the South Fares address, and took them into custody.
