WASHINGTON D.C., DC — Florida lawmakers announced resolutions for a National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk Tuesday.

Congressman Jimmy Patronis and Senator Rick Scott say that the prospective resolutions in both the Senate and House of Representatives will mark October 14 as the day, which coincides with Kirk's birthday.

“Charlie Kirk’s influence reached far beyond politics. He was a fearless defender of faith, freedom, and the principles that make America great, inspiring young people to lead with courage and conviction," said Patronis. "A National Day of Remembrance in Charlie’s name will ensure his legacy will continue to inspire future generations to speak bravely and boldly."
