A two-alarm fire at a mixed-use building in Torrington is under investigation.

The fire broke out on Thursday around 11:20 p.m. at a building at 118 Migeon Ave. where crews responded when a commercial fire alarm was tripped, according to the Torrington Fire Department . While firefighters were en route they received multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire.

The first crews on scene could see fire coming from the second-floor windows, leading to a second alarm being called in, fire officials said. Firefighters launched an aggressive interior attack amid heavy fire conditions on the second and third floors, according to fire officials.

A search of the building confirmed that all of the occupants had safely evacuated, fire officials said.
