BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Louisiana athletes have made their mark on Sports Illustrated’s 2025 Power List , with three big names among the 50 most influential figures in sports.

Former LSU quarterback and Heisman trophy winner Jayden Daniels, now in his second NFL season with the Washington Commanders, made the list for his ability to control his own narrative on and off the field.

“I would just say the concept of power is more so just being able to control your own narrative,” he told SI. “And really do what you want to do and tell your story.”

Arch Manning, grandson of Saints icon Archie Manning and nephew to Super Bowl champions Peyton and Eli, continues to draw national attention. SI says that his name and lineage alone make “Arch Mania” one of the sport’s biggest draws.
