Former Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is a head coaching candidate at his alma mater, Virginia Tech.

Vick, who is currently in his first season as the head coach at Norfolk State, has been pushed to get head coaching experience from donors at Virginia Tech over the last few years, according to On3.

Now in a head coach position, that makes him more viable. The Hokies fired sitting head coach Brent Pry after a loss to Old Dominion.

Pry had been the head coach at Virginia Tech since 2022. An Altoona native, Pry was also the former defensive coordinator at Penn State.
