The over three-month search for Travis Decker, the Washington man accused of killing his three daughters, is possibly over.
Human remains believed to belong to Decker were found in a remote wooded area outside Leavenworth , the Bavarian-themed village in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in central Washington, the Chelan County Sheriff's Office announced in a news release Sept. 18.
"While positive identification has not yet been confirmed, preliminary findings suggest the remains belong to Travis Decker," the release stated. "The Sheriff's Office is currently processing the scene with the assistance of (Washington State Patrol) crime scene response team, to be followed up with DNA analysis."
The remains were found during a search this week led by the U.S. Marshals Service P
