Sri Lanka allrounder Dunith Wellalage is set to rejoin the squad at the Asia Cup on Saturday morning after having returned home following the death of his father Suranga Wellalage on Thursday. Sri Lanka Cricket said he will be available for selection for Sri Lanka's first match in the Super Four round on Saturday evening, against Bangladesh in Dubai.

He is being accompanied on his journey from Sri Lanka to the UAE and back by team manager Mahinda Halangode, who had made the trip home with Wellalage on Thursday night.
