UPDATE: Thorpe pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy, tampering, and stalking in June. A judge sentenced him to two years of probation. If Thorpe violates the terms of his probation he will serve 180 days in jail, according to a plea deal.

HIGGINSVILLE, Mo. (KCTV) - On Sunday, the Higginsville Police Department arrested a man accused of being intoxicated when he fell asleep while driving.

Officers were called to the intersection of Highway T at St. Mary’s Road in Higginsville just after 7 a.m. on March 9, 2025, after callers reported a driver passed out in their car.

When the officers arrived, court documents stated that they found Robert Thorpe, Jr. of Oak Grove sitting in his white Chevrolet Silverado with the vehicle in drive and his foot on the brake. The
