LOS ANGELES — Politicians , celebrities and others are encouraging Disney+ users to cancel their subscription after ABC, who is owned by The Walt Disney Company, suspended "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" indefinitely.

The veteran late-night comic, made several remarks about the reaction to conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination Monday and Tuesday night, saying in part “many in MAGA land are working very hard to capitalize on the murder of Charlie Kirk.”

President Donald Trump and his supporters praised ABC's decision, while others call it a suppression of free speech.
