Hundreds turn out for Charlie Kirk Prayer Vigil at Dowdy Park

A crowd estimated by organizers at about 500 people gathered at Dowdy Park in Nags Head from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, to attend a Prayer Vigil for Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder who was fatally shot on Sept. 10 during an appearance at Utah Valley University. The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, is in custody.
