SALT LAKE CITY — Provo police said they’ve found the person who posted a photo online threatening Timpview High.

Police said a juvenile was behind the post which reportedly featured a grim reaper with the phrases, “Watch out Utah County” and “First Stop Timpview High.”

They do not believe the threats are credible, but police decided to increase officer presence at both Timpview and Provo High Schools on Thursday just in case.

Retired Deputy Chief of Unified Police Chris Bertram told KSL many of these threats are hoaxes.

“Any time there is any type of threat at a school it has to be investigated,” Bertram said. “It has to be vetted out.”
