Swansea City is one of the more meaningful fixtures in the Championship calendar for Birmingham City boss Chris Davies.
With Welsh roots on his father’s side, Davies forged his coaching career in south Wales as part of Brendan Rodgers’ staff and helped the Swans reach the Premier League in 2011.
At one stage, it looked as though Davies would start his managerial career at Swansea when they twice came calling during the 2023/24 season.
“I spoke to them when I was at Spurs and it developed, it was fairly close I would say but in the end I was really happy in my job at Spurs and stayed there,” reflects Davies.
