(Cleveland)- The Cleveland City Council has approved a resolution designating September as National Preparedness Month. The resolution was approved this past Monday, and Mayor Josh Turner, in reading the resolution, said the observance “serves as a reminder of the importance of being ready for the unexpected through pro-active planning, education and community involvement.”

The council also approved a resolution designating the month of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mayor Turner, reading the proclamation, said, “Breast cancer awareness month provides an opportunity to honor the strength and the resilience of survivors, remember those who have passed, and to stand with families and caregivers affected by breast cancer.”
