SOMERVILLE, Mass. —

Police in Somerville, Massachusetts, are investigating after a report of a man who approached and attempted to kiss a juvenile on a city street.

Somerville police said the juvenile said a man she does not know approached her near North Street and Powder House Boulevard, touched her arm and attempted to kiss her on the cheek.

The man is described as thin, white, approximately 6 feet tall, between 20 and 30 years old, with black curly hair and a black beard. He was wearing a gray vest over a white

T-shirt and shorts.

Police are asking parents and community members to remind children to stay alert, avoid interactions with unfamiliar adults and immediately report any suspicious encounters to a trusted adult.
