Carson Wentz is set to make his first start with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 action against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It was a battle of backup quarterbacks this week. Joe Burrow is also out and will miss a lot of time following a toe injury he suffered. Wentz will be starting against Bengals' backup quarterback Jake Browning.

As for the Vikings, J.J. McCarthy is nursing an ankle injury which has forced him out of this week's game. For Wentz, it gives him another chance to showcase what he can bring to the field.

After starting off his career looking like a rising star with the Philadelphia Eagles, Wentz has turned into a journeyman backup. This could be one of his final chances to prove that he can play.
