While speaking about a potential TikTok deal , President Donald Trump shared that he will visit China next year.

The announcement followed a phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday morning, per The Associated Press.

Not only will Trump be visiting China early next year but he will also be meeting with Xi at a regional summit in South Korea at the end of October.

In a Truth Social post on Friday , Trump also shared that the Chinese president will come to the U.S. “at an appropriate time.”

Friday’s call was Trump’s second call with Xi since he returned to the White House and implemented unprecedented tariffs on China.

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in South Korea, where Xi and Trump will meet later this year, runs from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, per the AP.
