SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents found human bones in the luggage of a man flying into Tampa International Airport, authorities said.
In a social media post on Sept. 18, agents inspecting luggage found prohibited plants, undeclared cigars, and a foil-wrapped duffel bag containing what looked like human remains, including part of a skull.

The traveler claimed the items were for rituals, but due to serious health risks, the items were seized and destroyed, the post said.
The CPB did not identify the traveler or say where they were coming from.
“We never know what baggage may hold, but smugglers should know we’ll always have a bone to pick,” the post on X
