MASHANTUCKET, CT (WFSB) - Morrissey canceled two New England shows this weekend, according to the venues.

CBS Boston said the shows at Foxwoods and Boston were canceled after the artist received a death threat before a show in Canada.

Foxwoods said all tickets would be refunded at the point of purchase.

Officials confirmed the show was shut down out of an abundance of caution.

No further information was released.
