“16 years ago today, you made me a mom,” the I Know What You Did Last Summer actress wrote on Instagram today. “I believe the quote is … a daughter is just a little girl who grows up to be your best friend. Charlotte, you are that and so much more.”

In the caption, Gellar, who shares Charlotte and son Rocky, 12, with husband Freddie Prinze Jr., praised how “strong,” “inspiring,” “kind,” and “funny” her daughter is, cheekily adding, “almost as funny as me 😉.”
