The prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has been moved into emergency accommodation after being released from jail . ‌

Rapist Christian Brueckner, who denies involvement, formally declared himself homeless in the city of Neumunster, 40 miles north of Hamburg, on Thursday. ‌

Stephan Beitz, press secretary for the city of Neumunster, told the Mirror: "He registered as homeless in Neumunster yesterday and we have accommodated him for safety reasons ." ‌
