Linda Jean Whitfield Poole, age 78, of Homer, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Mrs. Poole was born on January 26, 1947 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Hubert and Gertrude Caudell Whitfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Poole; sisters, Carolyn Purcell, Wansa Purcell, Sue Vern Moore, Genell Williams; and brother, Gary “Whit” Whitfield.

Mrs. Poole and her husband, Billy were charter members of Charity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Brant Langston, Homer; Rhonda and Jeff Gowder, of Homer; grandchildren, Shannon Gowder, Misty Gowder, Drew and his wife Christen Gowder, and Alexis Langston and her husband, Trent Cape; and great-grandchildren, Peyton Gowder, Rylan Gowder, a
