I can only judge this Netflix adaptation of the first story on its own merits, then, and it’s like a more glossy, starry version of the Agatha Christie shows that dominate the schedules on ITV3 and 4. ‌

Four retirees - Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Ron (Pierce Brosnan), Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley) and Joyce (Celia Imrie) - spend their time solving cold case murders for fun. ‌
