The son of an Atlantic County woman left wounded in a case of road rage says he just doesn't understand why someone would shoot his mother.

"Right now she's blind on her right eye," Victor Feliz-Arias said. Maritza Arias, was shot just over a week ago.

The incident happened Sept. 11 near Stockton University and led to a lockdown of the campus. Ernest Heinz, 46, of Port Republic, New Jersey, was arrested and is charged with attempted homicide .

Heinz is identified as an actor who has had roles as an extra on TV shows.

Feliz-Arias shared his shock with us. "For me to think that somebody decided to shoot my mom for no reason, I still don't get it," he said.
