COLUMBIA — Columbia City Council is awaiting a signature from City Manager De'Carlon Seewood to pass an educational affiliation agreement between the city of Columbia and the University of Missouri. The agreement would allow medical residents and fellows at MU to shadow at Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services.
The Health Department offers programs for master's of public health students and dietary students, but this agreement is for medical residents to shadow staff, gain experience and learn more about public health.
Students will shadow different departments and gain experience from services like vaccinations, STD testing and tuberculosis testing.
