HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A Webster County man was sentenced to 30-year's in prison after authorities say he raped and abused an infant.

Mykill Puckett, 26, plead guilty in Webster County Circuit Court to one count of rape, one count of criminal abuse and one count of wanton-endangerment. As part of his guilty plea, Puckett will serve a 30-year sentence and will not be eligible for probation. Puckett will also be subject to five-years of post-incarceration supervision and he will be required to register with the sex offender registry fro the remainder of his life.

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman called the abuse in the case horrific, and said law enforcement is continuing to make it clear that criminal behavior has no place in Kentucky, and they will use every legal tool to stop
