MADISON COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) - A 43-year-old Dix man claiming to be “a sick person” is accused of sexually assaulting at least three children.

Authorities booked Robert Aue Jr. in the Madison County jail on Wednesday. He faces four counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child and two counts of third-degree sexual assault of a child.

The charges come from both Lincoln and Madison counties stemming from an investigation in September of 2024.

According to an arrest affidavit, a woman and her daughter met with a Lincoln County investigator on Aug. 23, 2024. The girl, who was nine years old at the time, told police she’d been sexually assaulted at the hands of Aue Jr., court records show.
