Kilmarnock suffered spot-kick agony as they exited the Premier Sports Cup at the quarter-final stage following a shoot-out defeat to St Mirren.
The two sides shared four goals across 120 minutes before the Buddies won the shoot-out 5-3 and booked their place at Hampden.
In a hugely entertaining affair that went back and forth the whole evening, St Mirren opened the scoring in fine fashion on 25 minutes. Mikael Mandron pounced on a long pass forward from Jayden Richardson, dinked the ball over Lewis Mayo and fired home.
Killie were level at the break, though, as Dom Thompson's free-kick was nodded into the far corner by Robbie Deas.
