ORANGE, Texas — Police are seeking public assistance after the headstone of Southeast Texas musician Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown was destroyed for the third time at Hollywood Cemetery in Orange.

Orange Police Department officers responded to the 1300 block of Simmons Drive around 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning following reports of a destroyed headstone.

The repeated destruction of Brown's headstone has become an ongoing investigation for the Orange Police Department.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the City of Orange Detective Division at 409-883-1095.
