Although only a couple of films have seen wide releases, they have made an insane amount of money. 2025's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Infinity Castle broke the record for biggest opening weekend for an anime film with $70 million, which is also one of the biggest opening weekends for any movie in 2025.
