PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) - A dispute at a Hattiesburg barber shop sent one man to the hospital with a gunshot wound and landed the other in handcuffs.

Hattiesburg Police Department said it responded to a call around 3:40 p.m. Friday about a disturbance in the 200 block of North 10th Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that an argument that had escalated ended with a shot fired.

As a result, a man had been taken to a local hospital via personal vehicle and was reported in stable condition, HPD said.

HPD said it had taken a suspect into custody at the scene.

The investigation was ongoing, HPD said.
