NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Kendall Harrison was a quarterback at Edna Karr High School when he was arrested for the 2012 murder of a Good Samaritan in Algiers. Now 31, Harrison is getting his first taste of freedom as an adult after an Orleans Parish jury acquitted him during a retrial earlier this month.

Harrison said he first heard about the killing of Harry “Mike” Ainsworth on the news and got involved only after authorities released a sketch he says looked nothing like him.

“No hair on the face, got a baseball cap on, but somebody called Crimestoppers and said that the sketch looked like me,” Harrison said.
