SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. — You'll soon notice a change in some street names when traveling through Gordon in Schuylkill County or new address numbers for some homes.

The Schuylkill County 911 Center asked the Gordon Borough Council to approve these changes. They take effect on October 1.

Borough Solicitor Christopher Reidlinger says current addresses have often caused confusion for first responders. Residents agree.

"Yep. All the time. Well, they go instead of Gordon Street, they're over on the next thing. Everybody tells them just go up Gordon Street and you'll find the house," said Patti Hornberger, Gordon.
