Let’s be real here.

The Sarasota County School Board’s recent vote to dramatically change the district’s student code of conduct – and remove specific references to protecting students based on their race, disability, gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation – is just another effort to pander to one of Gov. Ron DeSanti s’ twin obsessions.
