AUSTIN, Texas — A judge in Hays County has sentenced a man to life in prison following convictions on a number of charges.

Cameron Moore, 44, was convicted of burglary of a habitation with felonious intent, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with a witness and endangering a child.

According to the Hays County District Attorney's Office, Moore had previously been convicted in May 2019 for a number of felonies against the same victim in this case, including aggravated kidnapping, attempted capital murder, stalking and violation of a protective order.

Evidence in the 2019 case showed that he placed a GPS tracking device on the victim’s vehicle and followed her to the police station, where he strangled her in the parking lot while having a zip tie and pocketknife in his poss
