ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A small child was shot at a South Fulton apartment complex overnight, according to the city’s police department.

Officers were called to the Gardens at Camp Creek apartments off Washington Road at around 3 a.m. The 1-year-old boy was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Arthur M. Blank Hospital for treatment.

South Fulton police detained two people for “further investigation,” officers said.

Police have not commented on what led to the shooting.
