U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz had strong words Friday for Federal Communications Chair Brendan Carr over the way he handled Jimmy Kimmel's comments about the suspect in Charlie Kirk's assassination.
On his podcast, the senator from Houston first emphasized that he was thrilled that ABC yanked Kimmel off the air.
"He was a train wreck. He was a disaster. He was unfunny, and he was also bitter and nasty. And he lied about Charlie Kirk," Cruz told his co-host.
But the senator disagreed with the way Brendan Carr pressured ABC to do so. He called Carr's threat to cancel ABC's FCC license "dangerous as hell."
