NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Since 2020, getting the Covid vaccine every fall has been a regular recommendation for most Americans, but that’s changing this year.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released updated guidance after approving the latest versions of the Covid vaccine. This fall, Moderna, Pfizer and Novavax are your main three options for the shot.

The FDA recommends any of the three for people ages 65 and up. All three are also recommended for most people under the age of 65 who have an underlying condition that puts them at a higher risk of developing severe Covid, although the guidance differs slightly between the vaccines when it comes to children.

Moderna: Recommended for people between the ages of six months and 64 years old with underlying conditions and for everyone
