WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita Police Department is currently investigating an incident in the 2500 block of West University. Dispatch said the weapon-related disturbance happened around 6:45 p.m. Friday evening.

During the investigation, several roads in the area are closed, and traffic is being diverted.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and follow posted detours until the situation is resolved.
