ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (KWCH) - Ark City Greenhouses is just one business that was wrecked by hail damage earlier this year. It’s the only floral shop in the small town, and when it closed, many thought it was gone for good.

But one couple is coming to the rescue.

In August, the former owners of Ark City Greenhouses put the building up for auction. Paisley Howerton saw the post and decided to make an offer.

“I shared the post on Facebook and asked around if any investors would be interested,” said Howerton. “Fortunately, someone reached out and the rest is history.”

The greenhouse covering was damaged by hail when a storm tore through the town in June, affecting dozens of other businesses and homes.
